What is the process Nationwide Roofing use to replace your shingles?
There are many videos out on the web on how to do your own re-roofing. Unless you are a professional with years of experience, it is not recommended that you try to do your own roof replacement. But knowing what is required and the processes involved will help you ensure that the roofing company you have selected is performing the job correctly.
Inspection and analysis:
One of our skilled professionals will measure and identify the needed materials. It takes about three bundles of shingles to cover 100 square feet. During this inspection process, you will be provided with options material options – notably 25 or 30 year shingles. The year represents the manufacturer warranty covering the material. Nationwide uses the same level of care to install your new roof regardless of which materials are used.
You may notice “bundles” of sealed package containing the shingles during the prep work.
Our skilled technicians will arrive on time on the day of installation. All materials needed will have been procured and brought to the installation site. Our technicians will start by removing the old shingles and flashing. This entails prying up the old nails and loosing ridge caps. We also remove the metal flashing around the chimney, vents and valleys in the roof.
Afterwards, the roof is swept and cleaned. Our training technicians examine the sheathing for damage and replace any damaged sections. Depending on the materials used, we will lay asphalt, field-paper or waterproof underlayment. The new flashings are then installed.
Depending on the type of shingles, our technicians will use industry standards to make sure your shingles are installed properly ensuring the life of your investment.
Site Clean up
During the roofing processing, nails along with other material can fall in the drive way, creating a potential hazard for the client. Nationwide performs daily clean ups as a part of its standard operations. This includes running a magnet “nail collector” that picks up nails, around your lot.
One of the most important questions to ask when selecting a contractor is what they do at the end of the work day. Will they leave your house messy? Will they leave nails and tools around to create more problems for you? Nation Wide Roofing uses industry standards when operating on an site to make sure that your home and property is protected.
